There is nothing left and no one who has not been affected by this virus. And one of the important topics for us, for girls, is the topic of fashion, clothing, and so on.Almost all websites and stores are now suspended. In extreme cases, it is not so convenient to order something because there are problems with delivery. Unfortunately, the virus reached us in the spring, when all winter clothes are removed, a certain warmth appears in the soul. After all, the sun, heat, the beach, trips abroad is not this what people are waiting for most of all, especially when the summer holidays are ahead ? Why has the demand in the fashion industry fallen? The answer to this question is simple-I don't want to spend money on clothes that are lying around my house. And Yes, we must not forget that the price has increased for almost everything. First, money is spent on purchasing basic necessities such as food and medicine. I was not spared by this virus and now most of our money is spent on medicines. But I hope that the virus will soon leave us and the fashion industry will continue to blossom.
During this difficult time, when the coronavirus affected almost the entire world, business areas, mainly the production and sale of clothing, were not ignored. The fashion industry has undergone a real crisis. Most of the enterprises for manufacture of clothing forced to suspend sales in stores to avoid the congestion of people and spread of the virus. But online sales remained, but the question of the need for new clothes from the spring-summer 2020 collection remains the main one. In addition, due to the closure of most borders, the delivery of things is not carried out as it was before the pandemic. People have to wait more than a month for their order. Almost most countries that have been exposed to the virus are forced to maintain quarantine and people just sit at home, not needing new clothes. This fact had a great impact on the fashion industry, causing a crisis. Protective equipment, medicines, and food remain relevant. However, there are people who see advantages in these circumstances: you do not have to spend money to renew your wardrobe with spring and summer clothes. Consumers will benefit to some extent from the quarantine, saving money, but the manufacturer will have to face the problem of a crisis until this terrible virus leaves our planet. As for me, I have always liked online shopping, so I did not feel any difference for myself.
The whole situation with the pandemic couldn’t help reflecting lots of spheres in the world. While some businesses thrive, others suffer great losses. And it refers to both small and large businesses. And as for fashion industry, it is one of the greatest victims of pandemic. Nobody buys clothes, as there is no need in it. People now prefer to pay their money for something that really matters, especially taking into account that everyone has to economize now. Of course, there are still some people who make online purchases, because the quarantine won’t last forever. But their amount is rather low and they don’t influence the situation. I, personally, have no interest in fashion right now, though I used to have a lot. It upsets me a bit, but anyway I've got some other passions at the moment. I’m relaxed, because I know that my love will return soon or late, when everything is over. However, of course, it’s not the best time for the industry. We can sincerely sympathize all the workers of the fabrics who make their living by working on huge mass market corporations. And now they are left without any job. But it is only now when humanity has an opportunity to realize how wrong the whole fashion industry works. They produce incredible amount of cheap clothes which don’t serve customers for a long time. It leads to a huge ecological issue for humanity, but nobody really cares. So now it is just the time to think about it in serious way. However, unfortunately, my own belief says that everything will be back where it’s always been after the pandemic is over. It all will be forgotten and the companies will continue to profit from the consumers. Quite sad, but most likely. Khaibulaeva Khadizhat
As soon as I started reading the article, the first thought that came to my mind was that after this whole situation people would not waste money, supposedly on “fashionable” things that go out of fashion very quickly and people just throw them away and change their outlook the world, its priorities, worldview. But, when I read the article to the end, I realized that I was not the only one to think so. Dame Anna Wintour ,I am grateful to this woman for wonderful words. As for the fashion itself and profits from it, it seems to me that manufacturers will find a way out of the situation and will not be at a loss. At the moment, the whole world is going through a difficult time and only unity and faith will help us pass this time. So we’ll deal with problems of fashion.
Today, during the quarantine, difficult time have come for everyone. There was a crisis that affected all social spheres of people's lives. The fashion industry has also suffered. For small entrepreneurs, the crisis is not yet so noticeable: many closed showrooms and went online. Small brands have a small staff. But the big players with a large number of offline shops and a large staff suffered the most. Their losses amount to millions of dollars. In times of crisis, people spend more money on food and things for the home. The largest number of citizens plan to cut spending on clothing and footwear in the next six months. People don't see the point of buying fashion clothes if they have nowhere to go. It's stupid to spend thousands of rubles on something that will just hang in your closet. In the near future, the demand for clothing will be very low. The shops will compensate for the drop in demand by selling underwear, socks, sports pants and t –shirts - everything that is currently worn at home. And some fashion designers have started to produce "fashionable" masks, the income from which covers part of the losses, because one such "fashionable mask" can cost thousands of dollars! "In addition, the conditions of self-isolation will certainly affect the figures – so people will come to update their wardrobe," said a representative of Finn Flare. Even in such difficult time, clothing manufacturers do not give up and hope for a successful outcome.
Normally, at this time of year, many of us would be curating our perfect summer wardrobe as we prepare for sunny weather and foreign holidays.
Instead, clothing sales plummeted by 34% in March as much of the world's population is currently unable to travel abroad or even socialise amid lockdown restrictions. The fashion industry has been negatively impacted by the coronavirus outbreak on every imaginable level; production has ceased, retailers have closed, demand has plummeted.
"It has led to a real existential crisis for the fashion industry," says Imran Amed, the founder and CEO of The Business of Fashion, a leading industry website which has produced a report about the impact of the coronavirus outbreak. Added to that, many consumers simply aren't interested in buying clothes right now. There's so much focus on purchasing essential items to survive during the lockdown and I think everyone's minds have naturally been focused on that. So fashion just becomes an after-thought, or no thought at all in that kind of context.
