well, it's really hard to consider what is the most important tip on cultural diversity...probably, observation tip. When you observe people's behaviour, way of communication, body language in some cases you try to imitate their way of behaviour that'll heip you from unpremeditaded mistakes.

But,to my mind, the principle of communication is respect.Without it you can't engage with the people, can't appreciate their cultural peculiarities, and of course, it won't be interesting for you to observe their way of life...say nothing of patience.
I think that appreciation the cultural differences is the most useful cultural tip. Also i think that before starting negotiations or even before talking to a foreigner, you should learn as much as you can about this person's country customs and traditions. So, there would be not any insults as the dictor said.

It would be a pity, if this happens. Cultural diversity is one of mankind's biggest attractions. I do hope still this will never occur!
